A Marketer’s Guide to B2BMX

By  /  February 6, 2025

For those joining B2BMX, we’re excited to see you in beautiful Scottsdale next week. MX has been a longtime sponsor of the B2BMX conference, and we’ve always found it to be a great forum for education, ideation and networking — not to mention an escape from Chicago winter.

If there’s one thing we recommend, it’s to go in with an objective and a plan to accomplish it. There are a lot of options and distractions once you get there, and the days pass quickly. To help you make the most of your time at B2BMX, here are a few of the questions we’ve asked and answered in our years of attendance:

What should I do to prep for the show?

Download the show app “B2B Marketing Exchange Events” (iPhone, Android) to
review the agenda, build your schedule, and view other attendees and vendors you’d like to meet with at the show.

What should I expect at the conference?

If you haven’t yet, start planning what sessions you want to attend by looking through the detailed agenda. Sessions fill up weeks before the event. Generally speaking, the conference is large enough to offer multiple session options without being overwhelming.

What sessions should I attend?

If you bring multiple team members, your best game plan is to divide and conquer. Take notes and schedule a postmortem to discuss all you learned and how you plan to adapt accordingly.

Unless you’re interested in evaluating a specific technology / software, focus on attending as many of the “Keynotes” and “Breakout Sessions” as you can and skip the “Sponsored Case Studies.” The case study sessions in years past tended to be more about selling a vendor’s specific offering rather than discussing a framework.

You must have an “All-Access” pass, an upgrade to the standard event pass, to be able to register for workshops. The good news is that this year, due to popular demand, they are expanding the workshops to two days — which means you and your team can attend two workshops during the event. Bring specific questions as they pertain to your current programs / gaps / challenges to get an expert opinion. These workshops are meant to be interactive and leave you walking away with a new way of working / thinking. If you’re able to fit it into your budget, the workshops are well worth the investment and one of the most educational and rewarding takeaways of the event.

Don’t miss our workshop on Wednesday, February 26, at 8:30 a.m.: Unleash the Power of Content: Drive Revenue Growth by Aligning Your Content Strategy with the Modern Buyer’s Journey, hosted by our very own Director of Marketing, Sarah LaPalomento. Sarah will take you through practical approaches to:

  • Understand the modern B2B buyer’s journey and how it has evolved.
  • Map your buyer’s journey and identify the content needed to support each stage.
  • Assess your organization’’s content maturity level and develop a roadmap for improvement.
  • Create impactful content that resonates with modern buyers at each stage of the buyer’s journey.
  • Measure the results of your content marketing efforts and track your progress over time.
  • Learn when and how to leverage AI for greater content efficiency.

Want to talk about how to turn your learnings into action? Let’s connect at B2BMX and strategize together. See you in Scottsdale.
