MX Embraces MLK Day through Day of Service
On January 20, 2025, MX staff members dedicated their time volunteering to honor the spirit of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through community engagement and service to others.
MX’s Day of Service is more than just a one-day event; it’s a reflection of the company’s core values. By actively participating in community service, MXers work to create impact for others toward a more equitable world.
Everybody can be great because everybody can serve.
This year at Project C.U.R.E.’s Chicago Distribution Center, MXers sorted medical supplies, prepared equipment, and helped fill container loads for shipments to hospitals and clinics in need around the world.
Project C.U.R.E. was founded in 1987 to help meet the need for medical supplies, equipment and services around the world.
Since its inception, Project C.U.R.E. has delivered medical relief in more than 130 countries. In 2024 alone, Project C.U.R.E. delivered over 225 semi-truck sized containers packed with medical supplies and equipment to nearly 50 countries. These supplies often make a life-saving difference to the people in the areas that receive them.
MXers working together contributed approximately 200 hours of work in a single day.
Tony Riley, president and CEO of MX, said, “Four years ago, we committed to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service and education. This day of service is special, like the people at MX. We are proud of the impact we make in the community and proud to take the day as a ‘day on’ to serve.”
