“Channels Changers” Documentary Airing on WTTW Chicago

February 13, 2025

This February, WTTW will premiere “Channels Changers,” a documentary of the first Black professionals hired at Chicago’s major advertising agencies thanks to the civil rights movement.

Produced by Gypsy Chicago Productions, “Channels Changers” is more than just a historical film; it’s an educational story that shares how the African American admen and women of the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s “cracked the monolithic white walls of American communications and how that led to the full-color spectrum of creative influences that we see today.” (Source: Gypsy Chicago Productions)

This film is set to air during Black History Month, a time when the significance of these stories is especially resonant. For those in Chicago, here’s how to watch “Channels Changers.”
